Morgen Maier lives in the mountains of Trinity County, CA with her family. She graduated with a BFA from the University of Colorado-Boulder in 2007.  Additionally, she has taken many graduate level courses focused on art as a healing mechanism, as well as the role of process over product in art making.  Her involved and multi-layered mixed media process uses a wide array of mediums, from acrylic to oil pencils and earth pigments.
